Mission & Vision
The Virginia Tech IISE 2020 Regional Conference Team aims to create a unique crossroads for a diverse community of students, educators, researchers, innovators, and practitioners. Over the course of the event, we will go on a journey exploring revolutionary ideas and creating meaningful connections. Our theme: Power of the Past, Force of the Future encourages us to reflect on the ways in which industrial and systems engineering has changed, and challenges us to look to the future of an ever changing field.
About Us
There are many things that make our school and program unique. Virginia Tech’s Hokie Spirit instills in us a desire to cultivate a welcoming community for all to embrace; our Principles of Community guide us to be upstanding citizens and students; and our motto, Ut Prosim, reminds us of our commitment to serve in ways both big and small.
